Fremont, CA

We made our way a little further up the coast to Fremont, just outside of Oakland and San Francisco.
We try to take it easy on Sundays so we just parked the rig and settled in.
Our campground is the Dumbarton Quarry By the Bay in Fremont. Very nice, public I think because anyone in business would not put boulders at the edges of the campsite to save their lawn. All of the streets have tire puncture strips if you go the wrong way, in the park!
The Park is not very full, I think it's a weekend spot. The picnic stables and BBQ pits are really nice.

At least we have plenty of off the air channels to choose from here!

Monday morning I found a place to play pickle ball. There are a lot of places but I got a good one. 6 new courts nice people and lots of fun.
One lady brought sesame seed covered donuts holes, hot!

I've been to a lot of courts and this was the first time I watched a guy play pickleball in a wheel chair.
He was very good. I didn't video because I thought it might be rude?

We wandered around the City of San Francisco, seeing some really beautiful architecture.

Then we made it across the Golden Gate Bridge, both ways. Got a magnet too!

This was the original toll machine. They would punch in the number of axles you had.
We had to put on long sleeved shirts and change to pants. It was in the 50s !!

We saw Alcatraz as we wandered around.

People are pretty crammed in here.

Not for me. Driving in downtown SF is pretty close to downtown Montreal, just not quite as bad. The "Block" between signal lights is about 3 buildings. Stop Go Stop Go, then the lane you're in turns into a "Turn only" lane...The street signs go from white letters on green, to green letters on white. You'd have to be at the intersection with 200 business signs competing with the wimpy street sign to understand.
